Verizon Has Combined Peoples Love Of Music And Chocolate Into A Must
Have Cellphone
Say so long to the days when you had to carry around a cell phone and an
IPod as Verizon's latest cell phone the LG chocolate phone is here. I know
that you love your IPod but if you are a Verizon customer you can have the
best of both worlds. When I walked into my local Verizon store and I
actually held this item in my hands for the first time I could see how
people are going to adapt their user habits and get this phone.
Just based on the look of the phone I could see it is going to be one of the
most popular cell phones there has ever been which is a big thing to say
based on the sales of Verizon's other popular cell phone The Razr which sold
too many units to add up. Being that his new cellphone is not that plain old
white color that IPod users have complained about I can see them picking up
this phone on that basis alone. The real kicker to this phone is the color
screen that flips open, the colors really jump out at you. You realize that
this is not your normal cellphone.
Using the V-Cast service that has become popular with cutting edge users
with Verizon you can download songs "over the air" as they call it not like
the IPod where you need to download music from the computer. VCast has over
1 million songs which users already know is plenty of a selection. You can
also listen to samples of the music before you buy the songs which is pretty
cool. The price to download songs directly on to your cell phone just got
cheaper as Verizon has eliminated the $14 a month surcharge that it had been
charging, so a song will only cost you $1.99 per download which is not that
bad.
Cheap Music Downloads To Your Cellphone
If you are cheap like me and because I am use to downloading songs from the
internet directly from the computer Verizon will allow you to do that also
for a fee of 99 cents a song. You can browse what's hot or what's new as I
find that is the best way to find new music to listen to.
The price is not only affordable but if you were going to update your IPod
it doesn't make sense to now that you can update your cellphone and IPod in
one shot. They are currently selling for $150 if you sign up for a two year
contract. If you are a new every two customer with Verizon this may be the
time to upgrade your phone.
This all-in-one cellphone is also a camera. It has a built in 1.3 megapixel
camera and the fun doesn't stop there as it has Bluetooth wireless and it is
able to run Verizon's LG Navigator which is another cool feature Verizon has
been featuring.
I have been using the Chocolate cellphone for about 5 days now and I only
had to charge it once. According to Verizon the battery has 3 1/2 hours of
talk time and 16 days of standby time. That my friends is a lot of time for
any cellphone to have.
I think if you are going to buy this phone you should also get some more
memory. For around $100 you can get a 2 gig memory card that will hold
around 500 songs of your favorite music. You don't need headphones to play
the music either. You can play it through the speakers but to tell you the
truth you would rather be using headphones as it is much clearer.
