Place The Word "ICE" On Your Cell Phone

Putting A Number In Your Cell Phone Case Of Emergency

Ever since the London Terror attacks there has been an uprising going on. People are placing a number on their cell phone contact list and using the term "ICE" as the name. The idea behind it is that "in case of emergencies" the police or the paramedic can call the number you have place in your phone to either find out your medical history or to notify your next of kin.

This idea could save your life if you are allergic to some medicine or have an existing medical condition like diabetes or something similar. This will help paramedics in helping you get the right treatment should something occur to you.

I have programmed a lot of phones for friends and family and hope that after you read this you will do the same. Some phones have a notation in the contact list where you can leave multiple numbers I use this space to put in medical conditions so the first responder doesn't even have to make the phone call.

This idea was started by a paramedic and has been spread by a British mobile phone company called Vodaphone. I hope all the major cell phone companies here adopt this and help spread the word.
